Communities Rally to Support Law Enforcement Across the Region
For the last couple of months, negative news images surrounding policing have been flooding our televisions and news feeds. In response, various community rallies have been happening across the nation as citizens gather to show their support of local law enforcement agencies.
They are a welcome addition to the recent controversies and negative demonstrations. Local rallies have included various agencies and citizens from surrounding towns showing standing strong and showing their support together. SMPCA thanks our own communities for their efforts and support.
These photos are from a citizen held community rally to show support of all 15 Cape Cod Police Departments and beyond. A crowd of approximately 500 citizens showed up in Yarmouth for Cape Cod Cares for the Troops rally held on Saturday January 3rd. Chiefs, Command staff and officers from many departments both on and off Cape showed up to thank their community for the much needed local support as well as to signify support of all public safety departments across the US.
